I am having trouble remove the connection to the climate regulate module in mine 2003 Ultra. There is no slack in the wiring to the unit. I have actually purchased a rebuilt module. Ns am ready to ruin the old one just so the it can be removed. If I eliminate the confront of the unit, will certainly I have the ability to disconnect the strength connection? I have removed the dash facia and losened the radio, however there is tho not sufficient room come work. What is the trick to removing the connection?

Looked in ~ Chilton and it shows up that the harness comes out through the unit to be disconnected. Here"s a diagram but it may be the exploit is organized in the back, not sure as no added information on removed it.

Thank friend Lucerne CXL. The Chilton diagram is not totally accurate. It shows a pretty long lead in to the module. The actual lead in is so brief that the module can barely be turned 90 degrees! You need to love GM engineering! there is certain no method to pull the module out an ext than around 2 inches! ns have thought about removing the radio for an ext work space, but I am fear to lose the radio code. So, in ~ this point, ns am considering crushing the old module just to get to the connector. I am additionally hesitant to execute this since I may not have the ability to get to the connector! it is no wonder that civilization buy international cars.

As stated that diagram may not it is in accurate yet it mirrors up on a couple sites. While i can"t say on your car for sure, some other GM harnesses space tape come one one more which during assembly provides it easier yet for the remainder of the people is a pain. Hopefully you will gain it resolved.
